- Promissory note for silver belonging to a dowry. Pledge of land.
B1 owes fA, his daughter-in-law (lit.: wife of C1) an amount of silver part of (rīhtu) her dowry. The exact amount is broken. He pledges 1 kor (13500 m2) of land planted with trees (zēru zaqpi) to fA. No other creditor shall exercise any rights over the pledge land, until she is fully repaid. The pledged land is located along the bank (kišādu) of the Banītu-Canal next to the land of E1 and E2, and next to the dowry-land of fB2. The latter is identified as mother of C1 and C2 and hence, by implication, she could have been married to B1. The text mentions that B1 handed over this dowry land to D (kanāku - nadānu), although a passage is syntactically ambiguous. B1 retains (elat) usufruct (ina pāni) of the fruit trees (limītu) within the 1 kor of pledged land. In addition (elat) there is a sale document (tuppi mahīri) concerning arable land (zēru) at the lower end (šēpītu) of G, H and fI᾽s property, which fA from fPN received / bought (verb tentatively reconstructed). A fragmentary passage at the end of the document mentions 5 mina of silver, the remaining (rīhtu) silver of fA’s dowry. Names of 7 witnesses and the scribe.
