Paraphrase | Promissory note to pay a debt of silver to a courtier. Due from the head of the Egibi family. Pledge of slaves and land. B, whose second name is Marduk-nāṣir-apli/Iddinaya//Egibi should pay 45 minas of medium quality silver, of which 1/8 is alloy, that are due from him, to A, a courtier (ša rēš šarri). Payment will be in Simān (III) in Babylon. He does not have to pay interest (ina qaqqadi). Pledged to A (maškanu) are a family of 8 slaves (ameluttu), people belonging to the debtor's household (nīšū bīti): C1, fC2, his wife; C3, C4, C5, C6, his sons; fC7 and fC8, his daughters; and all (gabbu) his fields planted with trees (zēru zaqpu) and grain (pî šulpi) in Šuppātu located next to D1 and D2. No other creditor shall exercise any rights over these until A has received full repayment of his silver. The pledged property will belong to the creditor should the debtor fail to meet the deadline.
