Lease of land: The tenant A rents out for cultivation (ana errēšūti nadānu) to B1 30 square kor (405,000 m2) of arable land (zēru), located in the crown land (nakkandi šarri) of Bar-tibni, which is part of the lease of the rent farmer (ina muhhi sūti) C of the hazātu (mng. unclear). The leased land consists of the bīt ritti-land of D1, the bīt ritti-land of B1 and his brothers and 10 square kor (135,000 m2) of the bīt ritti-land of D2. A will provide barley seed (uṭṭatu ša zēri) and he has to pay (eṭēru) the share (zittu) of the king. B1 and B2 will provide the oxen and the farmers (ikkaru). They guarantee (pūtu našû) for working the land (epēšu) and for the guard of the land (maṣṣartu). For land they do not work, they will give to A barley at a rate equal to that of the neighbouring fields.
