Archive description

This group of three tablets in the British Museum’s 1919-10-11 collection could be the remnant of the Šāpiku family archive, since two concern Sîn-ahu-iddin//Šāpiku, his brother Gula-balāssu-iqbi and their father(?) Bēl-iqbi/Nabû-ahhē-šullim. The tablets date to 10 Šamaš-šumu-ukīn and 19 and 20 Assurbanipal respectively. They are all title deeds of some sort and concern a prebend, real estate and slaves.
