Paraphrase

A messenger (mār šipri) named A undertakes to bring along an alphabet scribe (sepīru) in  Simān (III) whom he should hand over to B1 and B2. Considering that the document was written on the 20th of Nisan (I), he had about two months to meet his obligation. In case of delay, he has to deliver 2 kor of barley to the two men (as a fine), at which point the tablet breaks off. Names of 2 witnesses and the scribe: Nabû-nā’id/Nabû-zēru-iqīša. On the tablet’s left edge there are two lines with three times the same alphabetic letter shin (ש), preceded by cuneiform numbers, as follows: 2 ש ש / 1?  ש.

A = Šumu-ukīn/Gidda; B1 = Nergal-iddin (without affiliation); B2 = Nabû-zēru-ukīn (without affiliation)
