Paraphrase | Land lease for tending the date palms of the temple. A1, the temple administrator of Eanna, A2, the royal supervisor (ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) of Eanna, and the [commissioners (bēl piqnēti) of Eanna]?, entrusted (paqādu Pret., wr. ip-qí-du) B, [...] estate (šīhu) of the Lady-of-Uruk [...], for orchard-tending (nukaribbūtu). B will dig (herû) the irrigation canals (nāru), supply the water (mê ṣabātu Š), do the work (dullu epēšu) beneath the date palms, and guarantees (pūtu našû) for the digging (herûtu) (and against) the felling (dâku) of date palms. Damaging a date palm will result in a fine of 10 minas of silver and a 10? shekels of silver fine for tearing something out (nasāhu) from (ultu libbi) the orchard. For the (digging) work below the date palms, the temple will give B 4 (perhaps 5) kor of dates per (surface) kor worked, as the gardener remuneration (sissinnu).
