Sale of a slave in lieu of outstanding balance.

A voluntarily (ina hūd libbi) sells B, his slave, to C, rent farmer (ša muhhi sūti), for the total price (gamru) of 40 kor of barley. This is in partial payment for A's outstanding balance (rēhu) (ina muhhi) to the Lady-of-Uruk for 17 Nbn.

A guarantees (pūtu našû) against (suits brought by) a person acting unlawfully (sēhû) or a person having claims (pāqirānu) in respect (ina muhhi) to the status of free citizen (mār banūtu) or the status of royal slave (arad šarrūtu) of C.
