Interrogation of Šamaš-iqīšanni/Ea-nādin-šumi. In the third year of Cyrus he stole a coat (naṣbatu) and wool from the store-house (bīt šutummi) of Rēmūtu/Kalbāya, guardian of the Gate of Salvation (bāb šulmi). In the fourth year, he stole 3 shekels of silver from the store-house (bīt šutummi) of Rēmūtu/Šumu-ukīn, guardian of the Small Gate. Rēmūtu also denounces the recent theft (two days ago) by Šamaš-iqīšanni of two jars filled with dates, who confesses to the theft of one of them. It is found in the store-house (bīt šutummi) of Kudurrānu/Mudammiq-Bēl, Šamaš-iqīšanni’s maternal uncle, and presented to the assembly. Four witnesses and Gimillu/Innin-zēru-iddin, the scribe.
