Paraphrase | Administrative record of transfer. Undated. Single transaction: a withdrawal of dye by a weaver. The tablet records that A, the weaver (išparu), withdrew (našû) 2 minas of inzahurētu-dye and 1½ minas of alum (gabû) for the padding(?) (šapû) of the … (uncl.). At the end of the text we find an uncl. tally: 208, 10. As suggested by Payne (2007, 134), it probably refers to some aspect of the dyeing process.
A= Innin-zēru-šubši (/Nabû-iddin), weaver (išparu), also known as a temple-serf, see Payne 2007 (PhD diss.), 173f. |
