Paraphrase | Audit of livestock for a single offering shepherd. Dated. This long text lists the credits of a single offering shepherd (rēˀu sattukku/ginê), A, during a period of 15 months (XI.06 Cyr – III.08 Cyr). The temple used most of the sheep for the daily offerings (sattukku). These are listed for each month, separated by a line on the tablet (the months in the first 6 entries are broken but reconstructed with certainty). (ina muhhi epēšu, wr. ép-šú) the šukuttum (uncl.), and 162 carcasses. additional credits: The Eanna temple received (mahāru, Stat.) a total (napharu) of 23 animals that were given (broken) to the herdsmen (nāqidu) for the fold (qabuttu): 57 young male sheep (parru), which he gave to the fattening stable (bīt urê), 20 male lambs (kalūmu) which he gave for the lambs (wr. sila4) of (ina) the allotment (parāsu, Inf.) of the 22nd of Kislīm (IX) year 8 (sic), 2 ewes (lahru), 1 male lamb, and 20 female lambs (parratu). grand summary: A grand total of 2133 sheep have been received from A the offering shepherd and B the shepherd of the gate, from the 1st of Šabāṭ (XI) 6 Cyr until the 1st of Siman (III) 8 Cyr. balance: He (i.e. A) is responsible (ina pāni) for a remainder (rēhu) of 128 sheep for the offerings starting on the 1st of Siman (III).08 (Cyr).
* This is a rare case in which both terms for male lambs, parru and kalūmu, are used. Following M. Kozuh (2014, 264f.), parru is translated as young male sheep and kalūmu as male lambs.
