Paraphrase | Order to deliver debt notes for imposts of dates requested by the temple. The tablet concerns debt notes that were requested by the temple via a written order issued by two of its officials (A1-2), and the fulfilment of this order. It also describes the proceedings that took place in the temple court, although the exact context is not perfectly comprehensible. A1, the temple administrator (šatammu), and A2, the royal supervisor (ša rēš šarri bēl piqitti) sent a letter to B1, B2, and B3, the scribes (ṭupšarru) of C, ordering them to bring the debt notes (uˀiltu) of C from the accession year of Cambyses. It concerns claims for dates from the impost (imittu) on fields and the fixed rent (sūtu), for which C was responsible. The dates were the property (makkūru) of the Lady-of-Uruk. The temple requests those debt notes for dates that C [imposed] on the gardeners, as well as the ones entrusted (nadānu) to D, the rent farmer (ša muhhi sūti) [of dates?] instead (kūm) of C. Although not specifically stated, it seems that the letter was read out in the assembly. Following this order, B1-3 took the tablets, which were in E1’s house, from E2, E1’s wife. They took a chest (šaddu) with the debt notes for the imposts of dates [sealed] with C’s seal, and a box (quppu) with the remaining debt notes for the fields on the other bank of Nār-šarri, not sealed with C’s seal, and gave it all to A1+2, in the presence (ina ušuzzu) of 8 freemen (mār bane, F1–8). Finally, though fragmentary, the text states that the debt notes of [...] and the copies of the debt notes, following the written orders of [A1+2], were transferred to D.
