- Receipt for assessed revenue from land, paid in silver (instead of onions).
Concerns what remains to be paid in onions as assessed revenue (imittu) from the palace scribe’s field (ṭupšar ekalli), income (makkūru) of the Nabû temple for the 11th year of Nabonidus and booked in the accounts (ana muhhi) of D … (*)(uncl.) of the 12th year. It is registered as due from C (e’ēlu), slave of B. A receives it (maḫāru) in silver (15 shekels) from B. The fragmentary passage that follows may refer to the settlement of the accounts (nikkassu [qatû?]) between a man whose name is broken and B after the latter gave to B or showed him his registration of the payment in the account tablet (lē’u) of the Nabû temple. He will (also) draw up (epēšu) a receipt (giṭṭu)…. [broken off]. Payment for his (= B’s?) gugallutu-impost and [.... have or have not been paid for]. Names of 3 witnesses and the scribe.
(*) e du bad ki.
