Receipt for silver. Related to tithes and a slave sale.
Concerns A’s proprietary claim (rašûtu) against B for the payment of 45 shekels of silver. B's debt to A is eventually paid by C, in the presence of B’s wife (fE) (ina ašābi). The basis of A’s claim was somehow related to both the purchase of a slave (D) and the duty of paying tithes (ešrû) for the temples of Bēl, Nabû, Nergal and the Lady-of-Uruk which was obligatory for members of the royal family and officials in royal service. Various ways of interpretation have been offered in the scholarly literature.
A = Nabû-ṣābit-qātī (rab biti of Belšazzar, the crownprince); B = Nabû-mukīn-ahi (sepīru; servant of Belšazsar, the crownprince); C = Nabû-ahhē-iddin/Šulāya//Egibi; D = Nabû-karābī-išme (slave); fE = fDēkitu, wife of B
