Paraphrase | Land rental. A1 rents (ana sūtu nadānu) 1 Kor (13500 m2) of arable land (zēru) located along the Banītu Canal, which he owns together with his brothers and with A2, for 2 years to B (C’s slave). The fixed rent (sūtu) is 2 kor (360 l) of barley (uṭṭatu) per year. The renter will pay this rent to A1 and A2, in addition to (elat) 7 kor (1260 l) of barley (uṭṭatu) for the rent (sūtu) of 3 kor (40500 m2) of land at B’s disposal – as established in a previous promissory note (u’iltu, for which see BM31524). The land will be at the renter’s disposal for 6 years. The parties to the contract have taken one copy of the document each. Names of 6 witnesses and the scribe.
