Paraphrase Deposition before witnesses about the responsibility of guarding the palace gate.
The document lists 7 witnesses (A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6 and A7) who were present when, on the 27th Šabāṭ (XI) of Nebuchadnezzar’s 22nd regnal year, B and his warrantor C (māhiṣ pūti) have taken over the guarding (maṣṣartu naṣāru) for D until the closing of the palace gate (adi turri bābi ina bāb ekalli). After (malDītu , wr. ma-al-DI-tu4) the closing of the gate (turru bābi), these witnesses said to B and C: “The gate is closed, the lord may go”. On the edge of the tablet one reads the names of E1, the high officer (rab sikkati) and E2, the courtier (ša rēš šarri).
