Paraphrase | Farm-sharing agreement concerning a heifer A and B negotiate a cattle share-farming agreement in early summer (6th month). A allows B to use (lit. “gives”) a marukuttu-heifer (burtu, wr. alap bu-uš-tu4 ma-ru-šu-ut-tu4) during 5 years in return for a share (ana zitti) worth 1/3 minas of white silver. A is allowed to take (abāku) each bull (alap bi-i-ri) that is born in the course of this period for 1/3 minas of silver as soon as it has reached the full (qatû D) age of two. B guarantees for the care (suddudu), herding (rē'û) and guarding (maṣṣartu) of the heifer. They agree to share the milk products (iškarātu) and the calves (telittu The parties to the contract have taken one copy of the document each. A short remark at the very end of the document states that A has not given B anything from what is due to B as his share. Names of xxx witnesses and the scribe.
