Paraphrase | Receipt of silver. House rent. A1 and C’s slave fA2 receive (mahāru, verb reconstructed) from B1 and B2 by order of (ina našparti) C 11 shekels of stamped(?) silver (ginnu). The silver is the payment of the rent for D's house (? reconstructed) for the first half (rēš šatti) of Darius' 10th or 11th year. They (?) guarantee (pūtu našû) for the payment (?) of the silver that is due from C. The parties have each taken a copy of this document. Names of 4 witnesses and the scribe: Nidinti-Bēl//Nādin-še'im. See also the house rental contract: BM31182 (Camb. 182) and 2 other receipts: BM 33560 (Dar. 424) and BM31032 (Camb. 253). Note a different interpretation of this tablet on Achemenet due to the reading of rīmūtu instead of rēš šatti in line 2 and of rašûtu instead of našpartu in line 3. As such the silver is decribed as a gift (rīmūtu) of the 11th year of D and as a claim (rašûtu) of C. A1 = Nidintu-Bēl/Damqia//Nādin-še’i; fA2 = Šēpet-Bēl-aṣbat, slave of C; B1 = Bēl-uballiṭ; B2 = Nidintu/Arad-Bēl//Šumu-libši; C = Marduk-nāṣir-apli; D = Nabû-zēru-ibni/Itti-Nabû-balaṭu//Egibi |
